Our company is eager to assist in issuing Technical Passports for feeders (dosing equipment) as per Russian and other EAEU countries’ requirements.

Dosing of solid substances
Feeders are special machines to even feed of required quantities of lump or bulk materials to different machines.
There are feeders of different design and types. Below the main feeder types used in chemical industry.
Screw feeders. This feeder type is used for even feed of soft, powder-like and highly mobile materials. Their capacity is insignificant. This type of equipment has several advantages: control simplicity and a higher material feed degree. By changing screw revolutions rate the quantity of material supplied by the feeder can be regulated.
Screw feeder design includes cast steel bolt, which rotates inside the cast iron body. To make the screw repair more simple, the feeder's house is made detachable.
Material comes to the feeder through the funnel, and leaves through the connecting pipe. In place, where material leaves the feeder, the screw has several screws with reverse direction to prevent body clogging.
Friction drive is used to rotate the screw, which helps to change the revolutions number when required. Thus, the equipment capacity is regulated.
The equipment power consumption ranges from 0.5 to 3 hp.
Drum feeders. Material enters inside the equipment through the funnel on the horizontal drum, which rotates inside the body. Due to friction of material and drum surface, the material moves along the drum and leaves through hole located in the body bottom part.
The drum is rotated by worm gear via belt drive.
The drum smooth surface hinders material movement on the body, so ribbed or faceted drums are used in this feeder type.
Star feeders. In this feeder type, the material is supplied to the drum divided into a number of chambers with partitions. Such feeders are used chiefly in pneumatic and drying units. Besides, the star feeders are used to withdraw dust from cyclones, flue ducts and other devices, whose design does not allow the fresh air suction. Such feeders are used not only for material dosing, but as a gas seal.
Roll feeders. This feeder type is used for feeding caking and wet materials. The roll feeder includes a pair of rolls equipped with sharp teeth. One roll moves due to pulley rotation, whereas the other one – due to gear. The rolls rotate with different rate that is why material is loosened additionally at feeding. The gap size between the cylinders is changeable, which regulates material feeding.
The second roll bearing is used to change distance between the rolls. The bearing moves along base guides. It is fixed in required position with a spring.
Besides, the spring is used to protect feeder against various damages in case big pieces of material slide down into it. When such pieces get inside, the rolls extend and let big pieces of material in. The stuck material is removed with scrapers.
Rotary table feeder. They are used for even feed of lump and bulk material. The size of pieces is up to 110 mm.
The basic component of such type dosing units is the table, which is driven by electromotor worm gear. In this case, the gear is under the feeder. Material is fed on the table and discharged from it with the scraper into outlet spout.
The cylinder is used to regulate material feed. Its height is regulated by a lever. This allows changing the material quantity on the table. Lifting the cylinder increases the material quantity, whereas its lowering reduces it.
Besides, the material quantity supplied to the machine can be regulated with the scraper, which moves on the table driven by the screw. These feeders capacity makes from 2 to 20 m3/h.
Tray feeders. This feeder type consists of the tray and two guides attached to it. The guides roll on the rollers. The drive is realized with eccentric, which is connected with the blade via draw bar. The tray is oscillating to and fro in such feeder. These oscillations occur in the tray plane.
To ensure material movement the tray is located at a slight angle. The material is fed to the machine from the funnel, which is equipped with the slide damper. The material layer height is changed dependent on degree the slide damper is open.
The oscillating feeder is used to operate with material containing pieces of various sizes. Though, such feeder does not tolerate caking and wet materials. The oscillating feeders’ capacity starts from 300 m3/h. The size of material used depends on the feeder tray width.
Plunger feeders. This feeder type is used for dosing doughy material. The material is pushed out by portions with horizontal plunger, whose operation depends on crank mechanism.
Plow feeders. They operate under the principle of stockpiling. Plow feeders are equipped with rotating scrapers. They are chiefly used for wet and caking materials, which are prone to bridging. The capacity of such feeders depends on the revolutions number and makes 500 t/h.
Vibrating feeders. This type of feeders is used for lump materials feed. Besides, the feeders can be used for abrasive, frozen together and caking materials. The material lumps size can reach 100 mm.
Such feeder type includes a tray mounted on flat springs with a slant. Tray is connected with electromagnetic motor. The material is moved with vibrations rate reaching 3,000 per minute at rocking amplitude 2 mm. These feeders capacity makes from 5 to 50 m3/h.
Chain feeders, plate feeders, and belt feeders are used in chemical industry apart from the above feeders.
Other equipment

Should a bidding take place, we will collect and prepare all the documents required for the participation, conclude all the necessary contracts for the supply of your equipment, as well as register the goods (agitators (mixing equipment)) and conduct customs clearance procedures. We will also register a certificate of transaction (Passport of Deal) required for all foreign trade contracts in the foreign currency control department of the authorized Russian bank so that currency transaction could be effected. If required, our company will implement an equipment spacing project in order to integrate your equipment into the existing or newly built production plant.
